Autism Minority Outreach Initiative: A Living Beyond Autism Project
1-in-68 U.S. children is diagnosed with autism, a neurological disorder. African-American and Hispanic children are diagnosed later in life compared to white children, according to national research. Proper diagnosis, early intervention, and lifelong treatment are critical to support a person living with autism. This project aims to help raise awareness about autism within minority communities throughout Ohio. Published in 2015.
