One of the primary purposes of the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council is to offer grant opportunities for interested organizations and individuals to apply.
For competitive selection grants, this process begins with the issuance of a Notice of Funds Available (NOFA). A NOFA is much like a Request for Proposals (RFP).
When a NOFA is issued by the Ohio DD Council, we announce it on our website, the DD Suite grant application website, the Council's Facebook and Twitter pages, and by email.
To be notified of new NOFAs, please subscribe to receive email notifications.
The Ohio DD Council also has a "Discretionary Fund" available for people and organizations who send Council specific funding requests. Requests for this type of funding are accepted throughout the year. Go to the DD Suite grant application website to learn more on how to apply for a Discretionary Fund Request.
Data and Policy Research Grant: Research Study on Transportation for People with Disabilities
July 29, 2020: The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity for 2021. Applicants are being sought for a research grant to examine the transportation needs of people with disabilities. The research will be a follow-up to a study completed in 2017 titled, “Transportation Challenges for Ohioans with Disabilities.”
The research goal for 2021 will be a follow-up to the 2017 study, seeking to understand how transportation may have changed over time and if the changes have had an impact on the findings of the original study.
The official Notice of Funds Available for this grant opportunity can be found at https://ddc.ohio.gov/Portals/0/nofa-data-policy-research-project-2021.pdf. The deadline for applications is Friday, October 2, 2020. All applications must be submitted using Council’s online grant management program (DD Suite).
